‘Water rescue’ cabinets are to be installed in Riverside Park.

Progress is being made on the drawn out Townhill Park housing estate regeneration project, councillors have been told.

Complaints have been lodged with the council’s planning enforcement team over the use of Highfield House Hotel in Portswood to house asylum seekers.
Plans for a major student housing development in Portswood have drawn a slew of objections from both public and councillors.
The Butcher’s Hook micro pub at the Triangle has reported it has been hit with a break-in , and is consequently only able to accept card payments until next week.
Police are appealing for information about a van after an attempt was made to apparently remove a cashpoint machine from the wall of Portswood Waitrose early on Tuesday morning (Aug 19).
Update: The vehicles left the park reportedly on Saturday morning (Aug 23).
Caravans and other vehicles entered Riverside Park late on Thursday (Aug 21) and formed an unauthorised encampment.
