The Haunted House Halloween display on Thorold Road has had its best year yet raising funds for charity Abby’s Heroes.

At the time of writing the event had raised £1447.51 £1646, although donations are still being accepted online.
Luckily the weather had calmed down for the evening, leaving the way clear for visitors of all ages to make the annual visit to the spooky Thorold Road home.

“It was packed,” one onlooker who visited at about 8pm told us. She estimated that there were around 100 people there at that point, with many seeming to have arrived by car to view the display
