Haunted House smashes charity record

At the time of writing the event had raised £1447.51 £1646, although donations are still being accepted online.

Luckily the weather had calmed down for the evening, leaving the way clear for visitors of all ages to make the annual visit to the spooky Thorold Road home.

“Thank you to everyone who came and donated to the amazing Abby's Heroes tonight!” tweeted the Haunted House on the Hill account .

 

“It was packed,” one onlooker who visited at about 8pm told us. She estimated that there were around 100 people there at that point, with many seeming to have arrived by car to view the display
