SOroast was founded by Bitterne Park residents Dave and Ben in 2015.
Their coffee roastery has been tucked away on the banks of the River Hamble, but after a long search, “The SOroast boys” Dave, Ben and Sim say they are very excited to announce the official opening of their new home on the Triangle.

“The name SOroast is a nod to both Single Origin coffee and the mission to serve the SO postcode with craft coffee,” the team explain.
The SOroasters will be busy roasting their beans every week “to ensure Bitterne Park is drinking the freshest coffee possible”.
Initially they will be open on Fridays and Saturdays, serving coffee beans, takeaway coffee and various drinks and nibbles.
They stress that SOroast doesn’t use paper cups, but say they are “Southampton’s first coffee shop to use cup rental deposit scheme Huskee”, which is described online as “A designer reusable coffee cup made for cafes, home users & on-the-go coffee drinkers”.
Customers can also bring their own cups for takeaway, and containers for beans.
SOroast opens at 5, Cobden Avenue.
