polling station bitterne park sixth form re stylised 600pxResults of the local elections for Southampton City Council have been announced.

Residents from across the city went to the polls on Thursday, May 2, to elect 17 councillors.

One seat was up for grabs in each of the local authority wards.

Polling stations closed at 10pm, with the count taking place at Southampton Guildhall.

Following the 2024 local elections, Labour retained control of Southampton City Council but with one fewer seat than prior to the votes. Conservatives gained one seat taking their presence on the council to 10 members. Liberal Democrats increased their councillor total to four, with a single gain. The Green Party remained on one seat, with their single councillor not up for election this year.

Below are the full ward-by-ward results.
