The timing might not be ideal for many, but it seems the campaign bus has many places to visit in the run-up to the election, on a 12-day bus tour of the UK.
The bus is expected to stop at Bitterne Park Triangle.
Writing on the Friends of Itchen Estuary (FOIE) Facebook group, Gavin Millar said: “The Surfers Against Sewage Campaign Bus is coming to the Itchen Estuary on Wednesday 26th June. Please join us at 11:30 - on the water, just upstream of Cobden Bridge, or on the bridge.
“Enough of sewage pollution and off-the-scale E. Coli levels!
“Join us on the water with paddles, oars, or sails, and with placards on the bridge .... and help make our voices heard!”
As reported, FOIE again flagged high E. Coli levels in the river around Cobden Bridge and other areas on the Itchen following its latest independent water quality tests.
