The charity needs to raise £3.6 million to rebuild and equip the site in George Curl Way, and to fund what it describes as “the biggest leap forward in our charity’s history”.

As reported, planning permission for the site was granted by Eastleigh councillors in July.

Funds raised will go toward helipad, hangar doors, crew rooms, training suite and other required facilities.

Those wishing to support the Operation Airbase Appeal can learn more and donate via the charity’s website.
