PC Simmons, who’s based at the Portswood station, told bitternepark.info they were out promoting their community “Let’s Talk” survey.
“We want as many households in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary area to go online, fill out our survey, which we [use to] target the issues within the community we might not know about.
“Things that are seen as ‘lower level’ but that are still vitally important, such as speeding, flytipping, car nuisance, ASB, criminal damage and graffiti – those sorts of issues.”
She said taking the survey can also sign people up to ‘Hampshire Alert’ to get messages by text or email about issues in specific areas – for example those living locally might have received warnings about recent attempted car break-ins around Midanbury.
She added that responses to the survey would help police target issues raised.
