The road was listed as closed from Dec 5 - 6 on the Causeway website at the time of writing, although it's understood that the actual duration of work to solve the issue is unknown.

Southern Water has been approached for clarification and comment. We'll endeavour to update this piece if they respond over the next few days.

Update 13/12/24 Southern Water didn't respond. A letter dated December 11 apparently from Southern Water to residents and posted online confirms: "We need to install a new sewer pipe in Kent Road. We expect to finish by Christmas." Kent Road will be closed with no access to driveways says the letter - a major complaint previously with some residents' cars reportedly trapped because of the works area.
