The recently renovated old ticket office at Bitterne Train Station on Macnaghten Road, transformed into a community hub and run by Friends of Bitterne Station, will welcome music lovers for the second instalment of Chooganooga Sessions on Tuesday, February 11, from 7 to 9:30 pm.
It will feature three acts: Jose Ramon Horcas, offering a blend of classical and flamenco guitar; Maria De Lima with a surprise vocal selection; and Pegasuses, a duo known for their harmonies, humour, and poignant lyrics.
With a seating capacity of just 25, the intimate venue sold out at the first session. Tickets cost £8, with proceeds supporting both performers and the venue. Guests are encouraged to bring their own drinks, enjoy vegan samosas (£1.50 cash only), and donate for hot drinks.
This year marks Railway 200, celebrating two centuries of railway history, adding an extra dimension to this community-driven event.
