Romsey Male Voice Choir bringing a Taste of Wales to Bitterne for St. David's Day

A Special Concert in the year RMVC celebrates its 30th Anniversary.
You’re right, Romsey Male Voice Choir is not from Wales. Rather our ‘home’ is close to the scenic River Test in Romsey, and the wonderful and imposing Romsey Abbey, a much loved and regular venue for us in a town rejoicing in music of all kinds.
However, with a reputation as one of the best male choirs in the South, RMVC is a well-travelled choir, and you may not be surprised to learn that those travels have taken us several times to sing alongside fellow male choristers in various parts of Wales. So….. on St David’s Day we wanted to bring just a taste of Wales to a new venue for us, the beautiful Holy Saviour Church in Bitterne.
We are fortunate also to have the feted Welsh Harpist Harriet Earis, considered one of the foremost exponents of the Celtic harp in the UK, joining us to perform.
RMVC is itself a charity, and we raise money for charities. This evening the choir is raising funds for two very worthy causes supporting those suffering from cancer, Maggies and The Cancer Club.
For all these reasons, and with the choir motto ‘Singing fun taken Seriously’, why not join us for just a ‘Taste of Wales’.
