The date for the public local inquiry to consider notice of an order to close and divert the footpath behind Bitterne Park Primary School has been revealed.

 

It's scheduled to start on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Southampton Civic Centre.

The school’s preferred option, from various alternative proposals, is to stop up the footpath between it and the section of Riverside Park behind the school that it has the go-ahead to enclose.

The ‘Order Making Authority’ – Southampton City Council – has to send in its “statements of case and proofs of evidence” by October 28, and these will be made available in due course to anyone who’s made a representation.

By December 9 those who have made an objection or representation, those applying for the order to shut the footpath, and anyone wishing to give evidence at the inquiry have to have sent their information to the secretary of state. This is then circulated to interested parties.
