“We made an application to the Big Lottery Fund to hold a one day River festival in Riverside Park on May 27, and guess what? We got the money!” say Catherine Wright, left, and Mandi Bissett.

“We are calling it Riverfest – and we need YOU to help plan and organise it. We have loads of ideas to share, but we want to hear from YOU about how we can make this the best, most fun day out it can be. We also need every kind of help.”

The meeting takes place from 7.30 – 9.30pm, and will also apparently be streamed on Facebook for those unable to attend.

The Church of Ascension is at Thorold Road, Bitterne Park, Southampton SO18 1FX.
