Updated: St Denys bridge should re-open on 11th

local access only st denys roadworks sign 11/1/10 The Echo reports that work to upgrade St Denys railway bridge, which has caused the closure westbound of St Denys Road, has been delayed due to bad weather; "the outstanding work is to lay concrete and tarmac, which cannot be done in sub zero temperatures."

Original story: Work to replace part of the bridge over the railway in St Denys is on schedule, according to a spokesman. One lane should re-open to traffic going towards Portswood for rush-hour on Monday January 11. But expect a lane closure for a couple of further weeks - and bad weather could still affect progress.
